Ousmane Dembélé Dini is a professional footballer from France who plays as a forward for the Spanish club FC Barcelona and the French national team. He was born on 15 May 1997 in Vernon, France to a Mauritanian mother and a Malian father.
Dembélé started his career at Rennes in 2015 before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2016. In 2017, he signed for FC Barcelona for an initial fee of €105 million, becoming the second most expensive player in the world at the time.
Dembélé is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and creativity on the pitch. He has won several individual awards including the Golden Boy award in 2017 for being the best under-21 player in Europe.
Despite being plagued by a series of injuries throughout his career, Dembélé has played a key role in Barcelona's success, helping them win two La Liga titles and the Copa del Rey. He has also represented the French national team, winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
